Granny White  
Sourdough Buns

tbsp. dry yeast  
/3 cup sugar  
/2 tsp. salt  
cup sourdough starter  
−1/2 cups flour  
/4 cup butter  
Dissolve yeast in 2 cups lukewarm water in glass or plastic bowl.  
Add sugar, salt, sourdough starter, and flour. Cover; let rise  
until doubled in bulk. Roll out dough to 3/4−inch thickness. Cut  
with biscuit cutter. Dip both sides in butter. Place on well−greased  
baking pan. Let rise 15 minutes. Bake at 375 degrees for 20  
minutes. Yield: 12 buns.
