Title: Pumpkin Bread with Streusel Topping

1 1/3 c Granulated sugar

/2 ts Nutmeg  
1 c Pumpkin puree  
1/3 c Sherry  
Orange slices, for garnish  
/3 c Butter, softened

/3 c Brown sugar, packed  
tb Butter  
1/2 tb All-purpose flour  
1/2 ts Ground ginger  
1/4 c Chopped walnuts

Makes one 9-by-5-inch loaf  
Preparation time: 30 min. Baking time: 50 to 60 min. Oven Temperature: 350  
degrees F.

. Sift together dry ingredients. Set aside.  
. Cream butter with sugar until light and fluffy. Add vanilla, eggs and  
pumpkin puree. Beat well.  
. Mix pumpkin mixture with flour mixture and sherry. Blend just until  
ingredients are combined.  
. Pour into a greased and floured 9-by-5-inch loaf.  
. For streusel, cream butter with sugar. Add flour and ginger. Blend with  
hands to form small crumbles. Add walnuts.

. Sprinkle streusel topping evenly over batter.  
. Bake at 350 degrees F for 50 to 60 minutes.  
. Cool on rack for 10 minutes. Remove from pan. Serve warm or at room  
temperature. Garnish with orange slices, if desired. The "LaRK" (Cooking,

Cranberry Raisin Bread  
Serve this bread warm topped with Cranberry Butter (below) on Christmas  
morning.

cups flour 1.3/4 cups sugar 1 Tablespoon baking powder 1.1/2 teaspoons  
salt 1 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 cup unsalted butter 2 large eggs 1.1/2 cups  
orange juice 1 Tablespoon finely grated orange peel 2 cups fresh  
cranberries, washed, stemmed and copped (or frozen cranberries, thawed and  
patted dry) 1 cup raisins  
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar,  
baking powder, salt and baking soda. With a pastry blender or fork, cut in  
butter until the mixture makes coarse crumbs. In another bowl beat eggs,
