cup margarine or butter (2 sticks) -- softened
cup milk
teaspoon vanilla
teaspoon almond extract
egg
cups all-purpose flour
teaspoon baking powder
teaspoon salt
cup semisweet chocolate chips
cup chopped nuts

Mix sugar, margarine, milk, vanilla, almond extract and egg in large bowl.
Stir in flour, baking powder and salt. Cover and refrigerate at least 4
hours.
Heat oven to 375º. For each cookie, shape 1 teaspoon dough into 4-inch
rope. (For smooth, even ropes, roll back and forth on sugared surface.)
Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 9 to 12 minutes or until set and very light brown. Remove from cookie
sheet. Cool on wire rack.
Heat chocolate chips until melted. Dip ends of cookies into chocolate,
then into nuts. Place cookies on waxed paper. Let stand about 10 minutes
or until chocolate is set.
