teaspoon salt

Cornbread Topping -- (recipe follows)
CORNBREAD TOPPING
cup all-purpose flour*
cup yellow cornmeal
cup milk
tablespoons margarine or butter -- softened
tablespoon sugar
teaspoon baking powder
teaspoon salt

Heat oven to 425º. Mix all ingredients except Cornbread Topping; pour into
ungreased baking dish, 13 × 9 × 2 inches. Prepare Cornbread Topping by
beating all ingredients with hand beater until smooth. Spoon evenly over
bean mixture to within 1 inch of edges.
Bake until topping is deep golden brown, 25 to 30 minutes.
